Geologic Map of North America

This one-of-a-kind map of North America was created by importing Digital Elevation Model Data from the U.S. Geological Survey into a 3D- modeling program. The magnified terrain was created by exaggerating the elevation data and applying a light source to the map, ultimately producing the gorgeous hillshade effect seen in this map.
